Stop Wasting Money
We the undersigned urge the Whitby Town Council to STOP WASTING MONEY on frivolous or potentially fraudulant expenditures.
Residents should feel like their tax dollars are being spent with respect. The Town of Whitby has one of the highest tax burdens. Money has been wasted on the following items:

the loss of $4.2 million in revenue by the mismanagement of Elexicon
-
spending $1 million on a revolving door that should be 1/4 the cost
-
wasting $500,000 on a five-day trip to Germany = $100,000 per day.

over-spending by $5 million on the purchase of a homeless shelter
We know this is the tip of the iceberg because councillors voted against disclosing information related to these items. People are wondering, what are you hiding?
It is outrageous that you would allow our tax dollars to be spent on these wasteful items and then vote against disclosing the details to taxpayers who pay the bills. You could have frozen our property taxes with this kind of waste.

in December of 2025 Durham Region published statistics that demonstrated a massive increase in sexual violations against children. Sending a convicted child murderer to Durham Region is the wrong decision
